condition: fair
media type: vinyl

This is a huge collection of approximately 1500 78 rpm records, cut in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The collection cuts across all genre: old favorites, light opera, jazz, many country and western, many big bands, many popular vocalists, and spirituals.

Here are some of the "Artists:"

Roy Acuff, Rex Allen, All Star Trio, Ames Brothers, Andrews Sisters, Ray Anthony, Eddy Arnold, Gene Autry (many), Tony Bennett, Benson Orchestra of Chicago, Pat Boone, Bostonian Syncopators, Teresa Brewer, Broadway Bell-Hops, Brothers Bones, Les Brown, Henry Burr, Henry Busse, Campbell & Burr, Frankie Carle, Joe "Fingers" Carr, David Carroll, Carter Family, Carmen Cavallaro, Charioteers, Buddy Clark, Cleavelanders, Rosemary Clooney, Nat "King" Cole and Cole Trio, Collins and Harland, Perry Como (many), Dick Contino, Spade Cooley, Jessie Crawford, Crewcuts, Bing Crosby (many). Bob Crosby, Frank Crumit, Xavier Cugat, Daily's Chicagoans, Vincent Dahlart, Vic Damone, Doris Day (many), Al Dexter, Dinning Sisters, Fats Domino,
Jimmy Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey, Eddy Duchin, Nelson Eddy, Percy Faith, Carl Fenton, Eddie Fisher, Ella Fitzgerald, Red Foley, Fontaine Sisters, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Four Aces, Lefty Fritzell, Jan Garber, Gloria Gibbs, Arthur Godfrey, Lou Gold, Al Goldman, Benny Goodman, Larry Green, Ken Griffin.... (For a complete list, see my PDF).

Besides disks cut by Decca, Columbia and RCA, there are numerous disks from lesser known or forgotten companies: Bluebird, Vocalion, Perfect, Madison, Okeh, Vita, Diva, ARA .... (Shown on PDF)

Included are a few complete 78 rpm albums, in their original album jackets. (Listed on the PDF)

I have prepared a list of all records in the collection, which shows the "Artist," the Title of the song, the Recording Company and the Disk Number. Where different artists appear on the two sides of the record, I have attempted to cross-reference. The list is in alphabetical order by "Artist." That list is in PDF format, and I will send that PDF upon request.

My goal is to sell the entire collection, or large portions thereof. Because of the work involved, I am not interested in selling individual records.

Some disks are "poor." Some are "very good." Most are in the good and/or fair range. Most are at least 70 years old.

Buyer must pick up.

The collection is some where between 15 and 20 lineal feet in length on my shelves. Seller won't ship.

The PDF list shows a few records that I intend to keep for my juke boxes.
